Sierra Drew

Competition Director, Pre-comp, Junior and Senior Performance Team, Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Stretch and Strength, Acrobatic Arts Certified

Sierra Drew is a Bay Area native who started dance at the age of four. She grew up dancing at Menlo Park Academy of Dance for 10 years before moving to Captivating Dance By Nona. She competed with both studios and won various awards such as Miss Teen Dance at Kids Artistic Review (KAR) and the Tina Turner Award For Best Legs at International Dance Challenge (IDC). Sierra has trained with San Francisco Ballet and American Ballet Theater. Apart from competing, she was an apprentice of the Peninsula Ballet Theater where she danced in The Nutcracker for 5 years and Carnival of the Animals for 2 years. More recently she has worked Alayo Dance Company, Cabaret San Jose, and The Office. Her passion for dance reaches across several genres including Ballet (Distinction in the Royal Academy of Dance technique),  Lyrical, Jazz, Hip Hop, Cuban Salsa, Bachata and Samba.

Ms. Sierra is enjoying every moment of teaching so many ages and genres at Ray Of Light. She has gracefully stepped into her role of Competition Director, taking our dance teams to win Top 1st at several competitions this season, and her soloist win The Title of Petite Ms. Dance!

Ms. Sierra has a heart of gold! You can also find her in the community offering stretch and strength classes to seniors as well as teaching survivors of human trafficking and abuse and teen moms how to use dance as therapy!
